One of the most important lessons I’ve learned on my mission-driven, entrepreneurial journey is how to trust myself and my instincts and my inspiration.
For years, I relied on systems and strategies to guide my work, and they were really successful.
At my peak, I broke 7-figures and was a shining example of how—if you just followed the directions and sent out the emails at the right time and scheduled the right number of strategy sessions and created the right calendar of content—you really could build a hugely profitable business just like all the other mentors and gurus out there.
And I was freakin’ miserable. I followed a formula, not my heart and it led me to creating a business I didn't love. Sure it was financially successful and the people who loved that business were having success because of their work with me, but it wasn't right. It didn't feel good to me because I followed a system someone else laid out, not one guided by my own intuitions and expertise.
Starting my #GFRMission was a huge step toward leaning into my inspirations and trusting my gut and I gotta tell you, it’s going great. I’m learning so much on this new journey and having the BEST time. The #GFR community we’re growing is validating the intuitive knowing I had that exploding my 7-figure business and forging a new path, on my terms, was what I was supposed to do.
This philosophy has become a slogan in my No Regrets UnMentoring groups: Follow the juice. It means to follow your heart and lean into your inspiration. If something feels good, take it as a damn good sign that’s what you’re meant to do.
Check out episode 38 of the #GFRShow, “Lisa’s Confessions: Self-Love & Forgiving Past Mistakes,” to hear more of what I’ve learned through this new journey. Plus, I share 3 Unmentoring Milestones I passed along the way to trusting my gut and following the juice.
